I really do. and I'm Proud to live here. I'm hoping to start an I heart SF series on the blog. Let's see how this goes. Over the weekend I celebrated PRIDE on Saturday (although wasn't able to make it to the parade on Sunday). On Sunday we attended a baptism of the beautiful Anya, went to an Alice's Summerthing concert in Golden Gate Park and saw Tales of the City at ACT. whew. I know. It was a jam packed weekend. I'm still recuperating sleep and recovering from my sun burn (I know mom. I'm sorry. I put on sunscreen. I just didn't realize that I wasn't able to reach a spot on my back). Here are some snapshots of my weekend: One of our go-to brunch spots in Lisa's neighborhood: Elite Cafe I get the same thing every time–the Alabama Scramble:We're talking eggs mixed with minced bacon and biscuits and gravy (which I don't even typically like), but i lovee these. I hear the corned beef hash is also delish:These little booths are very cute (albeit a bit difficult to get in and out of). After Brunch, we headed downtown to celebrate PRIDE!
love conquers hate. we had such a nice time. the sunburn was worth it. On Sunday after the baptism, we headed to Golden Gate park and had the treasured opportunity to hang out with a very special little girl: Ally. Ally is the beautiful first daughter of Binh and Diem. Binh is Viet's first cousin. Binh and Diem were some of the first of Viet's family members that I got to know when I moved here, and I'm so excited to get to spend time with their little girl. We haven't seen her since February! Anyways, check out how cute she is with Viet.
love her and hanging with Viet's family. Sunday night we went to see Tales of the City, and it was sooo good. I had read the first novel, and it was great. And I wasn't quite sure whether not a musical adaptation would work, but it was awesome. I teared up a few times. I laughed. It is such a great story about coming to the city. If you live anywhere near San Francisco, you should definitely come see it. I am lovin all the sunshine and being out in the city. love celebrating Pride with strangers and friends. lovin an awesome brunch spot that is alwaysgoodeverytime. lovin friends, family, shows and celebrations. these are just a few reasons why I heart SF.
