As we are speeding towards the end of July, I'm thinking a lot about what I had hoped to accomplish during this month and how the month actually turned out. This month has made me feel as though I'm standing still and everything is rushing at warp speed around me. This feeling is both good and bad. I'll save my overall thoughts about July for this weekend, but I wanted to post a quick message to let you know how the last few days have been:
Tuesday night: I saw the Avett Brothers last Tuesday and they rocked! My new favorite song is "living of love."
Wednesday night: I went to the Opthamologist for the first time in my life. I learned I'm allergic to the preservative in my contact solution/papillary conjunctivitis. fun.
Thursday night: I volunteered at my workplace. It was awesome and always a good reminder of the importance of what I do.
Friday night: I made a new friend and had dinner with a student from my alma mater who is out in San Francisco interning at Glide this summer. We had such a fun time.
Saturday: Viet and I went tubing on Cache Creek on this beaut with Bridget, Will, Shap, and 15 other fun friends.
Sunday: Viet and I spent the morning at the hospital in urgent care and left with an eye patch, vicodin, and antibiotic drops. awesome.
and today. Today was a doozie of a day. My work life got turned on its head today. and I'm still a bit in shock.
but on a more positive note–get excited because as I've mentioned I am taking such an awesome web design class for bloggers by Elise Blaha Cripe, and I am learning SO much. It's going to take me a few weeks I think to actually make these lessons come to life for me, but I can't wait to show you the new blog once everything is done.
