I've been thinking a lot about why I'm blogging and what I'm trying to accomplish with this blog. First and foremost it seems like a way for me to keep a hold of and actively reflect on the experiences I'm having and the things I want to do and create. So, while I've set some goals for myself in terms of blogging more consistently (five days a week! have you noticed?), I'm also still trying to balance wanting to be consistent with wanting to keep the blog as a tool to reflect and inspire.
So, I guess that's it. If I never had more than a handful of subscribers, this blog would still make me happy. It would still help me to focus my goals, inspirations and plans. That's what I think makes reading blogs so addictive. Because they are born out of pure honest love and passion.
I've been staying up hours later than my normal bedtime this week (like I normally go to bed at like 9:30, and I've been making it til midnight) just to write and post to the blog. And although I need to plan ahead and prepare better so that I can still get enough sleep, instead of making me exhausted the blogging has energized me. There is no better feeling (to me) than putting your thoughts down.
And for those of you out there that are following along (small in number but giant in Awesome :), I just want to say thank you. Thank you for taking the time to spend a few moments with me. It means more than you know.
You may notice that a few small things will be changing around here. I'm going to try sticking to daily posting, branching out more, and sharing more. I'm working on taking better pictures (slowly but surely)
This weekend I'm going to work on revamping my pages, creating some awesome new graphics for the blog, and doing a bit of wedding planning. I'm also going to see if Viet will take some pictures of me that I can use on the blog.
As we approach the one year anniversary of the blog (eek!), I'm thinking a lot about what I've learned so far. I'm looking forward to sharing that with ya'll on Monday.
In the meantime, last night:
