There are so many reasons why I wouldn't leave San Francisco. not for the wide, wide world. My heart seems to be tethered here--tethered to the way it feels when the thick fog breaks into a clear blue day.
But yesterday as I watched tropical storm Isaac barrel towards the gulf coast (and my family), I was reminded of the hardest thing about building a life on the west coast. I am so very, very far from my family here.
So to pick up my spirits a bit, I spent an hour or so staring at these recent pictures of my darling nephews. Do you need a cuteness fix to get you through the week? Look no further!
Um obviously I love all of these. Jori is the youngest (in the bottom row of pictures and the middle far right picture).
Kai is turning the big 2 in a few short weeks (in the top and the middle far left picture).
But my absolute favorite picture is of Kai peeking out from behind the blinds (middle far left picture). My sister-in-law's description of this picture was "Somebody's not napping. . ." Priceless.
Happy Hump day!
