Having our wedding reception at the San Francisco Exploratorium was the best idea ever (Thanks Husband). It really felt like us. We wanted the reception to be fun and bright and colorful, and the Exploratorium was perfect for that. We were introduced down the stairs with our wedding party, and then we joined the party! The cocktail hour (and a half) flew by.
I knew very early on that I wanted to make most of the decorations and details for the wedding myself so that everything really represented our style. Although it took a lot of work and required a lot of help from our friends and family, on the day of our wedding I was so happy that we had taken the care.
Over the next few months, I'll be sharing several of our wedding craft projects on the blog. Some of my favorites featured above were
>our bunting (all made my Lisa!)
>mini-bunting
>wedding welcome books (on the big frame) that included our escort cards, a map, fun checklist, photobooth photo page, thank you, and a love poem
>Drink and photobooth window signs
>Drink flags (these are so fun and easy to make!)
>Briefcase card box
>Viet's bluescreen homemade photobooth!
I also made our menus, programs, thank yous and more, and I'll be sharing those pictures and tutorials soon.
Next Up: Dinner, Dancing and Cake!
