We went camping. :) At the beach.
Friday night we drove up to a place called Ocean Cove right outside of Bodega bay. The light was absolutely magical as we drove north along the coast.
We had planned to go up to Willets farther north, but because we got a late start we decided to go some place a bit closer.
Being out by the ocean all weekend was magical. We literally camped a few hundred feet from the water.
On Saturday we went climbing on a rock face that jutted out over the ocean (not kidding). It was awesome. It was simultaneously thrilling and terrifying. It's only the second time I've gone rock climbing outdoors, but it definitely made me want to climb outside more.
My favorites from the weekend:
+ laughing so hard I cried multiple times (thanks Shap)
+ yelling at the top of my lungs playing the best camping game ever (Contact)
+ Shap's new S'more invention (BYMMF) of a toasted marshmallow between two soft batch chocolate chip reeses cup cookies
+ impromptu fancy brunch at a fancy restaurant in all our filthy splendor
My favorites about being snuggled back at home:
+ hot running water
+ comfy bed
+ Sunday dinner with the neighbors and getting caught up with Project Runway
+ no dirt under my fingernails :)
