I've been thinking about what I should call my friday posts, and I'm trying on this new title today. On Fridays lots of folks posts lists of their friday favorites, or links of the week, or they describe their big moments. And I like to kinda do all of those at once (whether or not I'm succeeding. ha). These posts help me to take a snapshot of my week, including what's been whirling around my head. . .what I've learned. . . what i'm listening to, etc.
This week has been jam packed.
+ We attended our first City Arts & Lectures series speaker of the season: Michael Chabon. He was charming and funny, and he talked a whole lot about his own writing process (fascinating). I attended a few of the lectures last year (Jonathan Safran Foer, Nicole Krauss, Jonathan Franzen), and they were incredible. So this year we purchased tickets for the whole season. In addition to being an inspiring, thought-proving experience, the lectures benefit 826 Valencia.
+ Prior to attending the lecture, we ate at Indigo. Yum.
+ Lisa and I got to hang out with our dear friend Anna who is in town from Vermont. It was so great to see her. :)

+ Hopefully I earned major Aunt points by sending this sweet birthday gift to my darling nephew who is turning 2 on Sunday:
Happy Early Birthday Kai!!!
+ I love, love, love Elise's new stamps!
+ My friend Stacy featured a beautiful DIY: Bow Tie Blouse in the newest issue of Rue magazine! Check it out!
+ And I am in full blown Celebrating Tiffany mode! Her wedding weekend has officially kicked off, and it is already incredible!
Even though she's obviously a little busy, I was totally impressed by her thought of the day this week:
In honor of her upcoming nuptials, I've been listening to her favorite band's (The Avett Brothers) most recent album: The Carpenter. I'm really enjoying it.
Yesterday we picked up Tiff's dress (SO. GORGEOUS), had a delicious brunch at Cafe Des Amis, and got Mani Pedis at our favorite salon Silk.
Today we have a picnic in the park, rehearsal, and rehearsal dinner. It's going to be EPIC.
I hope your weekend is filled with love and happiness friends. Happy Friday.
