These are the days. Andddd October is almost half over! My favorite month is whirling past me. I can't believe the end of 2012 is barreling towards us. All of a sudden I feel like I should be thinking about holiday gifts and cards and what will I wear on New Years Eve? Too Soon??? I think so. :)
It was gloriously beautiful in San Francisco this weekend. I was able to spend time outside in the sunshine, celebrate with friends, and still dedicate most of my time to working on the new blog design.
Here are some of the moments from my weekend:
+photobooths and celebrating a friend's new chapter
I was on my own for most of the weekend. Viet had a boys' weekend with his cousins with a bbq on Saturday and and tailgating for the 49ers game on Sunday.
+So I spent the gorgeous Saturday in Sutro Heights Park picnicing
It was so fun to hang out with Lisa's mom and friends. And MAN the Start Family Molasses cookies! They are life changing.
+Yesterday I got SO much done for the new blog design. I'm really excited! and I made a yummy dinner (the kind that takes a good half of a day-beef bourguignon) all day, so that it would be ready by the time the hubby got home:
Our friends Casey, Amit, & Kara bought me a present (green sparkles and a stoic deer! love!)
sigh. I did good. It was tasty. I used the recipe from Tyler Florence's Family Meal cookbook. I thought that it was much faster and easier than other recipes for this dish I've tried before.
This week we are going to see two city arts and lectures speakers: David Byrne and Sandra Cisneros, and I have a huge event at work on Saturday.
What do you have planned this week?
*All photos taken by me (with the exception of the shot of me, which was taken by my friend Shap).
