I’m back from a whirlwind few days at Alt Summit, and I’m still readjusting.
The conference reminded me:
that it’s never too late to be tranformed by the people around you
that creativity and beauty and originality do exist
that making new friends can sometimes force you to see yourself anew– to face your hidden truths
that all of us out here blogging are taking a chance to tell our stories and be heard (even when it’s scary)
that we all might benefit from being more gutsy in big ways and small ways
Not Merely Living means the world to me because this space is where I face myself. I truly believe we all need a place to face ourselves. So this is all to say. . . that I don’t know exactly what is in store for Not Merely Living moving forward, but I know it will be truthful and built on love and community and truth.
I decided over the weekend that I have a new life slogan that I’m going to let guide me:
“Living to Learn–Learning to Live”
because that is what I want for myself–to live a life filled with stumbling, passionate learning–to challenge myself to live beyond my imagination–to fight for the things that make me happy.
I’m excited to tell you there is a lot of awesomeness headed your way this week around here:
