Today is one of my favorite days. All three of my amazing brothers were born today.
I'm a very proud Big sister.
Happy Birthday Bros!!! March is always Golden because of you. :)
Love you guys.

Color: Lime green> I love green, as I live and breathe. So as much as I tried to pretend that I wouldn't choose a shade of green for this month's color (I was going to go with yellow), my partially Irish blood wouldn't hear of it. I've got to have some sort of nod towards St. Patty's day around here! But really, I'm saving my favorite shade of green for my birthday month, but I can have two shades of green in a year, right? I thought so. :)
Be (theme): Listing> I'm taking a
Go Mighty class through
Skillshare on how to write a life list. If you've been reading for a while, you know I have a life list of sorts already called
Aurora. I have always loved the idea of a life list. I love lists in general. I truly believe in the power of writing important things down. Writing things down makes them more real, more tangible, and more obtainable. It's my way of truth-talking to myself, really. I've been hearing about Go Mighty and their awesome life-list making for a while, so I'm excited to work on re-envisioning and re-imagining my life list. I look forward to sharing the results with you all.
Listen (
weekly playlists): Country> I grew up listening to the great, the awful, and the in-between. I'm sure I know all of the above by heart. I haven't listened to country music in a while, and March seems like as a good a time as any to dive back in. I'm looking forward to revisiting all my old favorites, and exploring some new discoveries through this month's
Sunday song lists.
Read (
book of the month):
The Secret History> Last month, I read a recommendation from a friend and loved it, so I'm sticking on the recommendation train. A friend was just raving about this book to me, and she actually put the physical book in my hands (to let me borrow it), and I just liked the feel of it. It was strangely soft.
Odd. I know. It sounds like it's not my typical read (it's a mystery! oh my!), but I'm in just the same. Let's do this.
Eat: French> Something about this time of year always makes me feel like I am leaning towards spring. And as I do, I always dream about Paris (or how I imagine Paris since I've never been there). We are trying to plan a trip to visit my friend Elizabeth and her husband while they are in Ireland this summer, and we're plotting to try to go out early so that we can spend a week in Paris. I've always, always wanted to go to Paris (haven't we all?).
But now that being there is actually a real possibility, I can't help but wonder: What will I do if we actually make it there?
Dance in the streets!
A girl can dream.
I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much just in case. But if I'm dreaming anyways, I might as well learn how to make some french recipes (if only so that I'll appreciate it more when I finally eat the real thing). I love french food, but I know very little about the magic that goes into it to make it delicious.
Craft (
DIY): Tea Box> Don't laugh. For some reason this idea has been following me around for weeks.
It keeps showing up on all of my idea lists that I've got tucked all around our apartment.
I love tea. It's warm and calming and settling to me, and I love sharing tea with visitors and having a large variety of teas on hand. Tea falls onto the list of foods that I grew up hating (I used to be very picky) but now love. There is something extra special about those foods that only reveal their awesomeness to you later in life (any other picky converts hear me on this?). Avocados, tomatoes (thank goodness Chile taught me the wonders of these two), tea, sushi, brussel sprouts, okra, kale, fish, and many more are all on my list.
Right now we just sorta have all the tea jammed on a shelf, so I have a few ideas about some possible ways to make my own lovely tea box.
Travel: ?> I have a secret plan to try to visit a friend this month. I'm not sure if I can make it happen, but if I can't we'll just have to travel on an adventure somewhere more close to home.
stay tuned.
Aurora (
my life list): Knitting Club>
Researching San Diego and I have an
awesome plan to create an online knitting club?!? To get our club started, we're thinking about a mutual first attempt at knitting socks! We're
really excited.
