For my last egg recipe of the month (I’m cooking eggs this month for Golden April), I wanted to make a dessert. I chose custard because my husband loves a good custard (even though I don’t generally care for them-I mean, let’s be honest, they aren’t chocolate).
I greatly appreciated this recipe because the set up was quick and easy. I’d never made custard before, but this seems like it might be a great dinner party dessert. I like the single serving approach.
I had to adjust the cooking time a bit. Instead of the 30-35 minutes recommended, I kept them in for nearly an hour to get them even close to setting. I think that if I had initially added warmer water to the pan, it might have sped up the process.
