I hope you had an amazing Labor Day weekend. Mine was out-of-this-world incredible. I spent three glorious days with three of my dearest girl friends on a legit adventure driving down the California coast. If you were following along on my Instagram bursts (#epicroadtrip), you probably caught a few of our shenanigans. I can’t wait to share a recap with you (coming soon later this week), but for now I’m a bit behind on reviewing August and launching into September. Sooo, let’s do this.
For the sake of time and my sanity, I’ll give you the condensed recap this month. As I wind up my Golden Year Project (only September and October left, Y’all!), I’m thinking a lot about where NML is going and all the lessons I’ve learned this year. I hope you’ll stick around for all the transformation that’s in store, because I think you’re going to enjoy the changes that are coming.
In the meantime, here’s looking at you, August:
Get the full list of my coveting whites here.
Be (theme): Re-Designing> My blog redesign is making real progress (can’t wait to tell you more), and our apartment is slowly transforming.
Listen (playlists): Exercise tunes>
Get your Groove on to my August tunes.
Read (book of the month): The Fault in Our Stars> by John Green.
I have to admit to you all that I’m not quite finished, but so far I love this book. They hype is worth it. Add it to your list!
Eat: Leftover friendly meals> Even though my camera is out of commission, I managed to cobble together some poorly lit pictures of a few of my favorite leftover friendly meals:
Craft (DIY): 29 Photos Project> I got started on this project, but it’s harder than you might imagine I imagined to pull this many photos of yourself together. Stay Tuned.
2. cut out alcohol for 30 days:
Check! I edited this one a bit here.
10. redesign. reimagine. re-envision. and refocus Not Merely Living.
I can’t fully check this one off because it’s still a work in progress, but things are on their way!
19. rid my life of anything that isn’t beautiful or useful. Literally. go through all my stuff. This could result in an epic yard sale or goodwill run.
We made huge progress in this area this month. Between Craigslist and Goodwill, we got rid of SO much. I’m not going to fully check this one off yet, because there are still some things we’d like to see go but progress has been made!
8. make the time to invest in your writing. Prioritize it. Unplug. Go to the quiet. Write just to write. . . and then to share.
Still a work in progress. I’m hoping to focus a bit more on this in September.
Capture (Photography): #celebratethenormal> I was able to contribute a few pictures to this wonderful project.
Thanks for following along with me in August. I’ll be back tomorrow with my plans for September.
Here’s hoping this Tuesday feels more like a Tuesday than a Monday–
