*Appreciating all the big and little things around me through the #30daysthankful project. Above are a few of my favorite pictures so far from Instagram.
*Reading Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. I'm only about 100 pages in so far, but it is fascinating. It's explaining so much about how the hubs and I think and communicate differently. I can't wait to learn more.
*Watching Walking Dead Season 3 with the hubs. I'm quite literally shocked by some of the recent developments in the show, but I love having our shows we can watch together.
*Eating raw kale, tuna, and shredded cheddar a few times a week for lunch. I keep craving it, and it's always filling and delicious. I know it's kinda weird, but I'm hooked.
*Adjusting to our new apartment. I thought it would take us a while to feel at home here since it was our friends' apartment for so long, but it already feels like we've always been here (which is crazy). I love it here.
*Feeling a bit behind on holiday planning. I haven't bought any presents or figured out our holiday cards. I know it's mid-November, but this time of year always feel like time has pulled the rug out from underneath me.
*Lighting candles which always makes it feel like winter has arrived.
*Baking chocolate chip cookies using my Grandma's recipe.
*Working long, stressful hours but still somehow finding a way to shut work off as soon as I leave the building.
*Anticipating visiting my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins for thanksgiving! I haven't seen them all since my wedding, and I can't wait to soak up some quality family time.
*Getting used to my new haircut! I feel so much lighter and a lot more professional.
*Loving my sweet husband. He's under a lot of pressure at work, but he still always seems to be able to find space and time to wrap me in his arms and support me through my tougher moments.
*Wanting to make sure I thank all the amazing friends in my life right now. I feel very, very lucky to have such amazing men and women that I consider to be my support system. When you live far from your family like I do, friends are so important. I love my friends very dearly, and I have to stop and pinch myself every so often so I don't forget to appreciate my friends.
*Waiting for holidy music. I can't help it. I'm ready already. I'm not ready for anything else holiday related, but music-let's do this. . . ohhhh, and maybe I'm excited for decor too.
