I just got back home yesterday from Alt Summit 2014, and I’m still reeling from all the laughter, joy, and touching memories made with new and old friends. I’ll be sharing lots of juicy recaps and photos with you all throughout the week, but for today, I just wanted to share this quote with you. It really sums up Alt for me.
There are lots of lessons to be learned and strategies to be shared at Alt, but the most critical value I take away from the conference is the connections that I make every year. Thinking about network is not just about the value of a financial net worth. Sure, the people who you know can connect you to new opportunities and connections that can move your business further. But more importantly, your network is your life’s worth. The people that cross your path become your friends, your family, and your community. Your paths intertwine, and suddenly you have a hand in their success and their happiness. Even though putting yourself out there is scary, the rewards are always worth the risk when you meet those people who you know instantly you were meant to be friends with.
I’m so grateful to all of my friends. If you’re a new friend from Alt, thanks for stopping by. If I can be a help of any kind, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Stay tuned for more Alt Recaps this week.
