I love, love, love a good smoothie. Lately, I’ve been craving the classic strawberry banana smoothie from Jamba Juice every day, so I figured I would try to recreate it at home in my blender. My smoothies came out even better than I expected. I plan to start making these at least a couple times a week.
Total Prep Time: 5 minutes
Makes enough for: 2 large smoothies (half the recipe if you just want one)
- 1 pound of strawberries (de-stemmed)
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 tablespoons of greek yogurt
- ice to fill blender
Place strawberries, bananas, and yogurt in the blender. Add ice to fill the gaps. Mix until ice is well blended, and then add more ice until the blender is filled. Blend until ice is fully blended. I used the ice crusher setting and then pulse a few more times.
Garnish with a fresh strawberry and serve!
