We are back safe and sound from a 9 day trip, our last trip before the bean comes. It’s nice to be home.
This week brings with it a whirlwind of work and getting back into the swing of things, but as soon as things calm down I’m looking forward to sharing some highlights from our trip.
I read a variation of this quotation in Life after Life on the plane ride home, and I’ve been replaying it in my mind ever since.
The more we stay the same, the more we are always changing. And although it may not seem like it sometimes when the routines are unchanging, the world around us is constantly changing, just like the river.
The currents are speeding up. There are times in my life that have moved so slowly, but this is definitely not one of them. Life is moving so fast that the edges are blurring, and some times it feels like I am just barely keeping up.
9 weeks to go until the bean arrives, and my to-do list feels manageable, but then again, where do you even begin to prepare to become a parent? At least I already know how to love. I’m an expert at loving. That will just have to be enough.
Just a few random thoughts for your monday. Happy day, friends.
