*Celebrating that the bean is four months old today!
*Reading The Golden Compass from the His Dark Materials trilogy. These books have been on my to-read list for awhile, and I”m already completely caught up in book 1.
*Overhauling, Organizing and Cleaning our entire home after reading The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying up. This book has actually, literally changed my life, and I have SO MUCH TO SAY about it. If you are in the least bit messy and cluttered, you should read this. It will blow your mind (unless you’re already super clean and organized).
*Preparing to go back to work a week from tomorrow (!!!!). I’m feeling such a swirl of different emotions. I’m really looking forward to getting back to work, but I am going to miss my little bean something fierce.
*Feeling extremely grateful that my mom is coming this Saturday for two weeks to help us as I transition back to work.
*Beginning to feel physically like my pre-baby self. Don’t get me wrong. My body will never be the same (I mean. I made a human!), but I’m feeling strong again.
*Loving these new boots I picked up while I was in Alabama. I could wear them every day (oh. wait. I have been).
*Looking forward to taking a Mommy and Me swim class with the bean in two weeks! babies swimming=the cutest, awesomest ever.
*Eating greek yogurt with strawberries (can’t stop. won’t stop). I find that it takes me a while to discover that I like simple foods that everyone else knows about (e.g. avocado, granola, and now greek yogurt!).
*Watching Parks and Rec non-stop. I can’t get enough. It makes me so happy.
*Anticipating the arrival of our newest housemate, Cathy! Viet’s niece is coming to live with us and is going to take care of the bean, and we are so excited and grateful. The bean is so lucky she’s going to have such an amazing woman taking care of her!*Listening to The Bone Clocks on Audible. The accents are kinda throwing me off, but I really like David Mitchell so I’m not giving up!
*Appreciating that I have been able to take these last four months off to take care of the bean. Becoming a mom has been the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I’m very grateful that I work for an organization that allows me to take this much time.
*Feeling very happy with our lives right now and excited for 2015.
