My darling girl. Your spirit grows brighter by the day (but not quite as quickly as your cheeks)!
We spent our first Valentine’s day as a family in the sunshine with hats and grins and a few beautiful hours spent in our neighborhood park. I always imagined the days when we would picnic in the park, and the reality definitely exceeded my expectations.
You are smart and inquisitive. and strong. You’re grabbing life with a fervor, life (along with my hair and my hands and everything else you can get your hands on).
We are this close to figuring out this sleeping thing, and we’re on the cusp of giving you real food (I can’t wait!).
The truth is-you are the light of my life, my little one. After a long day running from meeting to meeting with my brow furrowed and the weight of my workday still weighing on my shoulders, seeing your sweet face at the top of the stairs is the greatest gift.
Things are getting easier in some ways and others are getting harder. I’m feeling more comfortable being your mama, and we’re slowly learning our new routine.
I’m so excited for all the stages to come–for all the things you’re going to learn, for all your firsts, and all our firsts as a family. I’m so grateful to be able to watch you and support you as you move these precious days and years to come.
You are so loved, my Beanshine, always,
