You’re really starting to blossom, my love. You’re chatting and walking and exploring the world.
We’re headed to visit your grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins this weekend, and I can’t wait for them to see you and spend time with you. I’m so proud of the person you are. You bring us so much joy each and every day.
Every day I try to be so present in the little moments we have together. In the mornings you usually wake up around the same time as me. Your morning smile makes my whole day. We chat as I get ready. In the evenings, I hold my breath as I walk in the door and wait to see your sweet face look up at me so excitedly.
I love my working hours. I love contributing, and I believe sincerely in the work that I do. But there is nothing more important or precious to me than the moments of my day spent with you. . . playing on the floor, singing during bathtime, and storytime cuddles.
You are a true treasure. This week a coworker asked me how you were doing, and I said, “so good.” and she smiled up at me and said that I always gave that answer. It made me smile, too, because it’s true. You are always so good. You are my beanshine.
You are so loved, my Beanshine, always,
