This past week your father and I took you to Chicago. I had a work conference Monday through Thursday, so we flew in last Friday so we could have a few site-seeing days before the conference got started. Your papa introduced you to the other “bean!”
You are a force, Beatrice. You’re hilarious. You have so much personality. You’re signing like a boss. You’re laughing and smiling and walking and bonking and grabbing like like a boss.
It was so strange think that someday we’d look back on this week and you won’t remember it! And we’ll say things like that time we took you Chicago when you were a baby.
It was so sweet for me to see you with your papa this week. He took care of you day in and day out. He loves you so. so, so, so. . .
He told me that you have literally been pulling up this week. Like doing pull ups. You’re so fearless and amazingly strong.
I learned a lot at this week, and I’m still processing. I’m thinking about what it means to really listen, what it means to really love your job and devote yourself to it, what it means to live a simple, full life. This life is a great, amazing chance to continue learning and changing.
I’m so proud of you, Bean. You have a unique, amazing personality. You are smart and creative and funny. You have your own distinctive language, and you sing a lot to yourself. Just a sweet singing with made up Bea-nese (or so we call it).
and the singing, bean, it just makes me so happy.
I love you more than the wide, wide world.
You are so loved, my Beanshine, always,
