You know that feeling?
That feeling you get where you’re surrounded by awesome people, and you’re laughing and telling stories, and you step outside yourself and think: This is my life, and I’m so lucky to be living it.
You know that feeling, right?
I’m fortunate to have that feeling pretty often, but I don’t often experience it so far from home.
But that’s exactly how I felt at the Love Where You Live dinner in McMinnville, Oregon.
Chelsey Nichol of Type A Press and Maggie Battista of Eat Boutique co-hosted this beautiful evening– a lineup of one lovely detail after the next– passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails & sparkling bubbly from R. Stuart & Co. (<–loved), and a breathtaking five-course dinner (y’all. so delicious) prepared by the Let Um Eat Collective.
In Chelsey’s gorgeous warehouse space that she shares with painters Zach Hixson and Mitch Horning, we laughed, dined, and toasted to this lovely town.
I had the pleasure of meeting Courtney Cunningham, co-owner of a local restaurant Community Plate. After a few minutes it felt like we were old friends, catching up over a nice glass of wine. Good people.
And even now, almost two weeks after the magical event, I can still feel the glow.
We’ll be back, McMinnville. Keep the candles burning for us. #missyoualready
