I was trying to get a little more creative with my hand-lettering this week, but the H-band said it made it a little difficult to read. I loved it too much to redo it.
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live them.” -John F. Kennedy
I’m a talker. I believe in saying things out loud.
I try to say thank you, to write thank you notes, to make sure the people in my life know that I don’t take them for granted.
One week into gratitude-month, and this quote has me thinking about what it means to live gratitude–as a coworker, a friend, a wife, and a mother.
I want to make sure that I’m taking the time and the care to show appreciation even when it’s not easy or convenient. I think I try to live this way some of the time, but I’d like it to be a more active practice.
November seems like a great time to start trying.
Quotation above was hand-lettered by me. I’m trying to hand letter quotes each week to help practice my skills.
