Wow! Happy belated half birthday, my love!
There were so many cute pictures of you this month that I couldn’t choose. When we were cleaning up the house, we found these little bedazzling stickers, and you decided they would be awesome as jewelry.
I love that you’re rocking the hot pink gems in these photos.
You are so full of life, Bea. You’re smart and funny and curious. You’re fearless and passionate and joyful.
You’re quick to laugh and cuddle.
You’re talking so much this month. It’s been astonishing to watch how much your language is changing day to day.
Here’s some of your favorite words/phrases right now (not necessarily pronounced quite like they’re written):
- pee pee/poo poo in the potty (we’re starting to talk about this more 🙂
- no happy
- more ____ please
- thank you
- mama (you’re actually calling to me by the name Mama. You’ve been doing this with papa for a while, but apparently I didn’t need a name before now.)
- baby (you point to my stomach and say baby, but I know you have no clue what that really means.)
You say uh oh a lot, but you quickly follow it with a word that sounds like “Wedgy.” Your papa and I have no idea what you’re saying, but it sounds like uh oh, wedgy. It makes us giggle every time.
You’re also pointing a lot, which is super cute and also very funny. Like when you point at your plate on the spot where the ham was and say, “more please.”
You’re such a loving, sweet girl. You like your hugs.
You love to sing. You’re constantly singing to yourself while you play. The sound of your sweet voice singing your made up songs to yourself is literally the best and most amazing thing I’ve ever heard. It makes my heart explode every time. I try to pause the moment and just listen and smile every time I hear you singing like that.
You’ve been pretty clingy to mama this month, and although at times it can be a little over the top, it’s also sweetly touching.
You are a force, my dear. I’m so grateful to be on this journey with you.
You are so loved, my Beanshine, Always–
