I met Emily McDowell in the Oakland airport on our way to Alt last year.
Today I am happy to share with you the beautiful paintings of Emily Proud.
I first met Emily last month when my friend Tiffany and I took her watercolor class at Makeshift Society. She is the best type of teacher– calm, encouraging and patient. She’s extremely talented, and she did an excellent job of covering all the basics and sharing with us some insider tips.
I am so inspired by her work and what she is able to accomplish with a paintbrush and watercolor (even more so now that I have attempted to paint my own basic watercolor paintings).
I am in love with her style and use of color, and I am sure you will be too. Take a look for yourself:
I don’t know about you, but I need these in my kitchen! They are all so bright and cheery. They all make me smile.
Thanks for being so inspirational Emily. I absolutely love your work, and I can’t wait to take another class from you!
